I was extremely skeptical of this diet until my reproductive endocrinologist suggested I do it since nothing else had worked to allow me to ovulate in 9 years. I started ovulating immediately after doing the 40 days of Phase 2 and got pregnant within 2 months! Not to mention I lost tons of weight too! This diet also allowed me to lose the baby weight.

HcG diet recipe phase 3 P3: ROASTED CHICKEN CREAMY SALAD

4 C diced roasted chicken, about a 3-5 lb roasted whole chicken (pick one up at the grocery store)
1 apple, diced
1 1/2 t dried tarragon
1 T dried or 2 T fresh parsley
1 C mayonnaise
juice of 1 lime
1 t Dijon mustard
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste 

Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
4-6 servings

HcG diet recipe phase 2 P2: MARINATED GRILLED SHRIMP on a George Foreman Grill

Marinade:
1/4 C water
1/4 C chopped fresh parsley
3 limes, juiced
2 T Frank's hot pepper sauce
3 cloves minced garlic
1 T tomato paste NSA
2 t dried oregano
1 t salt
1 t pepper

Use 2 T marinade per approx 5 jumbo shrimp with skin/tails still on. Place all in a ziploc. Shake to distribute evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Refrigerate the rest of the marinade for up to a week. OR using ziplocs, place 5 jumbo shrimp in each along with 2 T marinade per bag. Seal and shake each back. Place in freezer for another time. The night before wanting to use, place a bag in the bottom drawer of your refrigerator to thaw 12-24 hours.

FYI: The 5 jumbo shrimp should weight approx 110g but after cooked, you remove the skins and tails that weight approx 10g.

Heat grill on high (if you have settings) for 5 minutes.

Thread shrimp on 2 wooden skewers, piercing once near tail and once near head. Discard rest of marinade.

Lightly spray grill with coconut oil. Coconut oil spray can be bought at Trader Joe's. This has not stalled me at all! Cook shrimp for 5 minutes or until opaque.

Peel and eat.

I like these best on a bed of spinach OR with grilled asparagus and 1 corn tortilla instead of melba toast (since I'm gluten free and melba toast is full of gluten).

Trying new products that work on original Dr. Simeon's HcG diet protocol for phase 2 P2

I'd be lying if I said I'd been trying out different products that are different than the original protocol for Dr. Simeon's HcG diet. The truth is I've been having a very hard time this time on my 5th round in 3 years staying on protocol. I'm bored. I needed to find some other options.

ONE corn tortilla for lunch and/or dinner has not stalled me at all!

Spraying the pan with Trader Joe's coconut oil spray for sauteing 
chicken, beef, fish or a vegetable has not stalled me at all!

ONE serving of prepackaged UNSWEETENED natural applesauce
has not stalled me at all!

1/4 C freeze dried strawberries (I've tried several brands just make sure it's just strawberries and no sugar or other sweeteners added) has not stalled me at all!

HcG diet recipe phase 3 P3: Chocolate Coconut Bars


1 C Lilly's stevia sweetened chocolate chips
3/4 C coconut oil
1/2 t unsweetened vanilla
1/4 C more or less powdered stevia

In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Remove and place approx 1.5-2 T melted chocolate into paper lined muffin tins. Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Place coconut oil in a clean microwave safe bowl and microwave for about a minute to melt it. Stir in vanilla and stevia. Pour about 1.5-2 T of coconut mixture over the chocolate. Refrigerate 15-30 minutes.

Still in the paper muffin cups, stack and place in ziploc bag. Freeze until ready to eat.

Makes 8-10

HcG diet recipe phase 2 P2: Texas Dirty "Rice" (Beef & Cabbage)

100g lean ground beef
2 C cabbage finely chopped into rice sized (I used a food processor)
1 C chicken broth or water
1/2 t cumin
1/2 - 1 T chili powder
2 T minced onion
2 clove garlic crush and minced
Salt & Pepper
Serve with Frank's hot pepper sauce.

In a large frying pan, brown beef over medium high heat. Add the rest of ingredients and cook until cabbage is tender adding more water or broth as necessary. Cook down until no liquid is left. Serve hot.

HcG diet recipe phase 2 P2: Orange Curry Chicken & Rice alternative (cabbage)


100g skinless boneless chicken
2 C cabbage finely chopped into rice sized or noodle size pieces
1 C chicken broth or water
1/2 t cumin
1/2 T curry
2 T minced onion
2 clove garlic crush and minced
Salt & Pepper
1/2 T Bragg's liquid aminos
1/4-1/2 T apple cider vinegar
juice of 1 Cutie orange & pulp

In a large frying pan, saute chicken in a little Bragg's liquid aminos over medium high heat. Add the rest of ingredients and cook until cabbage is tender adding more water or broth as necessary. Cook down until no liquid is left. Serve hot.

HcG diet recipe phase 2 P2: Tuna Salad

I know, I know. It's not on Dr. Simeon's original protocol BUT did you know that they only had canned tuna in oil back then? Yeah, so of course it wouldn't be on his protocol. I've read a lot about others eating canned tuna in water with no problems, so I tried it and I didn't have any problems either. In fact I had .8 lb loss one day and another day was 1 lb loss.

1/2 C (2/3 can) canned white albacore tuna in water
1 homemade HcG diet refrigerator pickle, chopped
1/4 apple, chopped
mustard, to taste
salt & pepper, to taste

Mix altogether and serve.

HcG DIET RECIPE PHASE 3 P3: Low Carb PIZZA CRUST - gluten free diabetic friendly

Now this is AMAZING! Not just ok, no this truly is spectacular. My whole family loves it...my one year old, 5 year old, 30-something year old husband, and me, well, it's become my most favorite meal, even when I'm not in P3! It actually bends like a thin crust pizza, no fork necessary!

Mix: 1 1/2 C shredded mozzarella & 2 T cut up cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave another 30 seconds. Stir. If it's needed, another 30 seconds.

Quickly add 3/4 C almond flour & 1 egg at room temperature. Stir well.

On a seasoned pizza stone or parchment lined pan, spread with spatula or wet fingers. Prick with fork all over to prevent bubbles. Sprinkle with garlic salt.

Bake in preheated oven 425° for 20-24 minutes.

Add toppings and bake another minute or two or until the cheese melts.



HcG DIET PHASE 2 & 3 P2 P3: Fight Hunger Pangs with Essential Oils

Although I hate the loading days, I can always tell when I didn't load enough because I'm hungry in P2. Because you can't start over, there are some things you can do.


1. Drink more water. Drink tons more water!
2. Add 8-10 drops dōTERRA Slim & Sassy essential oil blend to 4 oz water and drink.
3. Place several drops of dōTERRA Peppermint essential oil on the palm of your hand. Rub palms together, cup over nose and mouth and take several very deep breaths.
4. Put a few drops of dōTERRA Peppermint essential oil in 4 oz water and drink.
5. Place a few dōTERRA Peppermint Beadlets in your mouth, pop with your teeth. (my favorite!)

1/4 t fresh or dried oregano

Being on the HCG diet can be hard especially when traveling or in a hurry. Always looking for faster grab and go options. Here's one...

Bare Fruit makes crunchy apple chips that are JUST the apple, nothing more.

Have a 1/2 C. They're fantastic too!

Anyone get sick of the same ol' same ol' proteins? Believe me, I know cottage cheese isn't on the original protocol BUT if you still lose weight the next day, it's such a wonderful change!

In a blender or food processor, blend until smooth:
1/2 C FAT FREE cottage cheese (bought it at Walmart)
1/8 t pepper
