While I've been on this diet, I'm always craving desserts! I've lost 18 lbs in 32 days and these types of things (below) are helping me stay on the right track. Ryan's (my husband) also lost 12 lb just by counting calories and exercising in almost a month and he loves them. Hope you will too!
GRAPEFRUIT SPEARS
32 calories
1/2 grapefruit in slices or segments
2 T lemon juice
pinch of lemon zest
powdered stevia to taste
Dip grapefruit chunks in lemon juice and coat with stevia and lemon zest. Freeze until firm.
TIP: Try putting a toothpick in each segment for easy eating.
TIP 2: Try this with orange segments for 64 calories.
LEMON/LIME ICE
6 calories
Sonic ice or shaved ice/ice chips
2 T fresh lemon or lime juice
stevia to taste
Pour juice & stevia over ice. Stir and serve.
STRAWBERRY ICE
51 calories (for 2 glasses when you add more water!)
7-8 frozen strawberries
ice (if desired for thickness)
stevia to taste
2 T lemon juice
1/2 C or more water or sparkling mineral water
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
ORANGE JULIUS
64 calories
1 navel orange
stevia to taste
1/2 - 1 t vanilla (only sugar & alcohol free! or leave out)
ice for desired thickness
1/2 C or more of water or sparkling mineral water
Blend all ingredients until smooth and frothy.
TIP: Try it with 1/2 grapefruit instead of an orange for 26 calories.
ICED & SPICED
70 calories
1 navel orange sliced or segmented
2 T lemon juice
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t powdered vanilla
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of clove
pinch of cardamom
powdered stevia to taste
Mix spices and stevia. Dip orange segments into lemon juice and dredge with spice mixture. Freeze until firm.
TIP: Substitute strawberry (51 calories) or apple slices (71 calories).
